Its double-ended design features a solid blade on one end and a two-pronged blade on the other, allowing versatility during tissue retraction. A commonly listed standard pattern measures 17.5 cm (6⅞ inches) in overall length, with working ends measuring approximately 38 mm deep × 22 mm wide. Other versions are also available around 15.5–18 cm, depending on the manufacturer and pattern. The S-shaped design and blunt working ends help provide controlled retraction and access to the surgical site.
