Its delicate projecting pins secure the cartilage, while the integrated millimeter scale provides precise reference points for cartilage resection and modification. When positioned beneath the alar cartilage, the pins help stabilize the tissue and identify important anatomical reference points, including the alar dome. This assists the surgeon in performing controlled rim-strip resections while preserving an adequate alar rim.
